Teacher Education Scholarship

HSC students, university students and career changers studying to become a secondary teacher can apply for a Teacher Education Scholarship.

Successful participants receive:

  • $7,500 per year of full-time study
  • $6,000 appointment allowance
  • a permanent teaching position in a NSW public school upon successful completion of studies.

Teacher Education Scholarship – Aboriginal

The Teacher Education Scholarship – Aboriginal is an identified scholarship available to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people studying to become teachers.

Successful participants receive:

  • $7,500 per year of full-time study
  • $6,000 appointment allowance
  • a permanent teaching position in a NSW public school upon successful completion of studies.

teach.Rural Scholarship

HSC students and university students looking to teach and make a difference in rural and remote NSW public schools can apply for the teach.Rural Scholarship.

Successful participants receive:

  • up to $50,000 in equivalent course contribution fees
  • $7,500 per year of full-time study
  • $6,000 appointment allowance
  • $500 per week rural practicum allowance
  • a permanent teaching position in a NSW public school upon successful completion of studies.
